The Kia Cerato Feature Overview with Don Stephens

Kia Trinidad sales representative Don Stephens recently gave us the grand tour of the product enhanced Kia Cerato, sporting bold new exterior styling, an updated interior and packed with loads of features to keep both drivers and passengers comfortable. Pricing starts at $188,000 for the well equipped entry level and $208,000 for the fully loaded Cerato we tested and pricing is the same for both hatchback and sedans.

Updated exterior features include longer, more slender halogen projector headlights with integrated DRL’s that blend into the front fenders. The front bumper has integrated fog lights and brake and engine cooling vents. The rear taillights have been redesigned and have a more euro-spec look.

The fully loaded Cerato we tested had keyless entry with push button start, dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, leather wrapped steering wheel with integrated bluetooth, stereo and cruise controls, integrated reverse camera in the touchscreen display and a USB input and iPod connectivity.

Power comes from a 1.6-litre engine and a 6 speed automatic transmission available with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters and cruise control on the fully loaded models. The Kia Cerato has a ANCAP 5 Star safety rating and is equipped with driver and front passenger SRS airbags, front side SRS airbags (pelvis and thorax protection) and curtain SRS airbags.

Overall the Kia Cerato is great value for the money in both the entry level and fully loaded models. The fact that you can get the hatchback or sedan for the same price makes it a double threat and a perfect fit for every lifestyle and budget.
